Back to business today and with renewed energy and vigor!
I ran a mile on the treadmill to warmup for my weight session with Aaron. I'm easing back into the heavy weights now and today was a lower body day. Lots and lots of squats. Single leg squats w/ 10 lb db, sumo squats w/ 10 lb dumbell, squats w/ the squat bar, split squats w/ 5 lb dbs, calf raises and pushups.
I topped it off with 4:30 miles of hill work on the treadmill. After 1 mile warmup, the first hill was half mile at 3% grade at 6.0 mph, then half mile at 0%. The second hill was 3% at 6.2, then half mile at 0%, then half mile 3.5% at 6.2, half mile at 0%, then .3 mile cooldown.
My heart rate peaked at 172 and mostly hovered in the 160s on the hills. The flats were about 155. I wore my monitor during the strength session and fluctuated between 80 and 120.
All these numbers are giving me a headache.
